Chapter 5

Selena’s POV:

After a whole day of skipping school and being with Justin, Jazzy and Jaxon, I went back to home. 

Justin was the whole time nervous about his first date with Rose. I swear, he just looked like a girl who was nervous about her wedding!

‘Hi, mom!’ I said walking into the kitchen.

‘Hi, honey!’ she smiled. ‘Did you had a nice day on school!’

‘Ehh…what? Oh yeah…I did!’ I lied.

‘You skipped, didn’t you?’ she asked a little more serious but she wasn’t angry, at least she didn’t looked angry.

‘Sorry! It was just Justin and his damn date with Rose. He asked me to help him!’

‘It’s okay, Sel! It’s just one time, nothing wrong!’ my mom said. ‘Wait, did you said Rose and Justin having a date?’

‘Oh, yeah. Justin asked Rose out. They’re like totally in love, it’s disgusting!’

‘Hmmm….’

‘What?’ I asked confused about my mom’s reaction.

‘Nothing!’

‘Tell me!’

‘Well, I always thought about you and Justin as a…you know- a couple…’

‘Me and Justin are just friends, that’s all. By the way, Rose and Justin are stupidly cute!’ I defended myself.

‘I know, honey, it was just what I thought?’

‘Yeah…I just don’t like that everybody thinks of me and Justin and a couple…’

‘Maybe that’s because you two are cute, too…’

‘Mom, can we just talk about something different?’

‘When you gonna have a boyfriend?’ my mom asked, ignoring my question.

‘MOM!’ I screamed. ‘Who says I want a boyfriend?’

The only guy I want is Justin, but yeah after all I’m just his fucking best friend!

‘Calm down, Sel! It was just a question!’

Suddenly I felt the urge to vomit.

‘Are you okay, Selena?’ my mom asked worried. ‘You look a little sick.’

‘Yes,I only have a little headache. That’s all!’

‘All right. I need to go now. Brian will be here at 10, I made dinner!’

‘Ehh…I promised Jeremy that I will babysit Jazzy and Jaxon this night because Jeremy needs to go somewhere and Justin can’t because of his date with Rose…’

‘But Selena, look at you! You really look sick, honey. You sure you don’t want to lay down on bed?’ My mom asked worried.

‘Yeah mom, for the thousandth time, I just have a little headache! It will probably be gone about an hour!’

‘All right, don’t make it too late!’ my mom kissed my forehead. ‘And call if you gonna sleep at Justin’s house!’

‘I won’t. I will be back at 10 or 11!’

‘Okay, honey. Have fun!’ my mom walked to the frontdoor and soon, the door closed.

~That Night~

I walked my way towards Justin’s house, and I knew I was a little late but I didn’t really care. It’s just his date with Rose, nothing special…!

I heard my phone rang and I knew immediately who it was…

‘God, Sel! Where the hell are you?’ Justin shouted. ‘Did you forget my date with Rose?’

‘No! Calm down, I’m on my way, just 2 minutes!’ I said with a you-are-acting-stupid voice.

‘Anyway, walk faster! I can go now, but I can’t leave Jazzy and Jaxon alone!’

‘Whatever!’ I rolled my eyes. ‘I’m on my way, so I’m gonna hang up!’

I put my phone back in my pocket and walked faster.

After all, Justin still was my best friend and I couldn’t ruin his ‘best night’ of his life!

I knocked on Justin’s door and waited for an answer. A few minutes later, Justin opened with a angry look.

‘Gosh, Sel!’ He sighed. ‘How long you take to get here from your house? It isn’t a long distance!’

‘I know, but I needed to wait for Brian!’ I lied.

I walked in and saw Jazzy and Jaxon standing behind Justin and the moment when they saw me, they hugged my legs.

‘Anyway, I’m going! I will be back at 10!’ Justin bend down to give Jazzy and Jaxon a kiss and shocked me by kissing me on the cheek. Damn! Why I always need to blush?!

‘Yeah, have fun!’ I faked a smile.

Justin walked outside and closed the door behind him.

Me, Jazzy and Jaxon decided to watch an old episode from Hannah Montana. 15 minutes later, Jaxon was fell asleep on my lap and I just played with my phone.

I couldn’t get Justin and Rose out of my mind, What will they been doing right now? Deep down, I wished that their date would be a disaster but I knew that wouldn’t happen and it wrong to wish that!

When the episode finally came to an end, Jazzy walked over and sat nex to me.

‘Selly, where’s Justy?’

‘He is on a date with Rose.’ I whispered so Jaxon wouldn’t wake up.

‘Rose is mean and stupid. You need to be Justin’s girlfriend!’

Oh no! Here we go again!

‘But Justin loves Rose, baby girl!’

‘And you? Do you love my big brother?’

What in the world I need to answer on this question?

‘I told you before, I love him but not like you mean it!’

‘Before stupid Rose came, Justin said he liked you!’ Jazzy said and looked at me with her innocent look.

Was it true? Did he liked me for real or is Jazzy just inventing everything. But it doesn’t matter because right now, he likes Rose!

I walked up the stairs to Jaxon’s room and lay him down and then walked back to Jazzy in the living-room.

‘Jazzy, you also needs to sleep now, baby girl!’ I said walking towards her. ‘It’s getting late!’

‘You need to come with me!’ Jazzy said excited.

I looked at the clock, it was just 9PM, just an hour till Justin will be back.

‘Okay, but you need to promise me that you will sleep and not talk!’

Jazzy nodded and pulled me with her to her room.

She quickly changed her clothes and then we both get in the bed.

‘When Justy will be back?’ Jazzy asked, eyes closed.

‘Just an hour, then Justin’s back and I go.’

‘No, you can’t go! You gonna sleep here, with me!’ Jazzy pouted.

‘Okay, okay!’

I opened my eyes and realized that I felt asleep.

Shit, what’s the time? I took my phone out of my pocket. It was 1030PM, Justin should be here, right now.

I slowly stepped out of the bed, so I wouldn’t wake Jazzy up, and walked down the stairs.

I looked around in the house, but no Justin, so I decided to text him…

Justin! Where are you? It’s 1030 and you told me you would be here at 10. Your siblings are asleep, and I wanna go home but I cant because you are not here! - Selena.

I pressed the ‘send’ button and in less then 2 minutes, Justin texted back…

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I forgot the time and I needed to bring Rose back home. I’m on my way right now - Justin.

‘Selena?’ I heard Justin’s voice and footsteps came closer.

‘I’m here!’ I stood up and walked to the hallway.

‘I’m so sorry. Me and Rose were swimming at the beach and because of that, I forgot the time. I’m so sorry!’

‘It’s okay. Ehh…Jazzy and Jaxon are asleep…’

‘Okay, did you sleep?’

‘Yes…with Jazzy. I just woke up and texted you!’

‘Rose is officialy my girlfriend right now!’ Justin blurted out of nowhere.

Does he really think that I care about Rose being his girlfriend?!

‘Aww, really? I’m so happy for you!’ I faked a smile. ‘I’m going, I’m really tired!’

I did one step towards the frontdoor and my stomach started to hurt really bad.

‘Selena, are you okay?’ Justin asked worried. ‘You look like you have pain!’

‘I’m all right!’ I snapped. ‘I’m going!’

I walked to the door and opened it, with one step outside, I fell to the ground and suddenly everything went black and the pain in my stomach was only getting worse.

‘Fuck!’ Justin screamed. ‘Sel? Are you all right? That’s it, I’m gonna bring you home and you going to rest!’
