You Belong With Me

Chapter 3

Selena’s POV:

I stood there, still ashock after what Rose said to me. I sat down on the stairs and kept thinking about Rose and Justin…as a couple.

‘Selena, what’s wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost or something!’ Taylor smirked.

‘It’s not funny!’ I said pissed off.

‘Well, tell me! What’s not funny?’

‘Rose said sorry for what she did last year with my boyfriend…’ I started.

‘Well, that’s good right? Why you are so pissed off for something good?’ Taylor asked.

‘That’s not my point, you idiot! There happened more then that!’

‘Well tell me!’

‘She asked me or I had feelings for Justin, and of course I lied and said that I didn’t but then she asked or she could have him…’

‘And you said no, right?’ I could see that Taylor was a little bit tired of my drama.

‘I said yes!’ I sighed. ‘She said she liked him and she thinks that Justin also likes her, so why I will tell her about my stupid feelings for Justin if he don’t even likes me?’

‘Gosh, Sel!’ Taylor said annoyed. ‘You said the whole time that you was scared that you will lose Justin by another girl, and look what you did now! You helped that another girl!’

‘I know I’m stupid!’ I sighed and leaned my head on the railing.

‘I didn’t said you stupid!’ Taylor walked towards me and sat next to me on the stairs. ‘It’s not you who is stupid but what you did was stupid!’

‘Yeah yeah, I know!’

It was quiet for a time and I just thought about my life what I ruined by myself.

‘Wanna watch movies?’ Taylor asked after a few minutes.

‘What?’ I asked surprised. ‘Movies? Now?’

‘Yeah. I mean, it will change your mood, and you won’t think about Justin for at least a night!’

I nodded and we walked upstairs with some snacks.

This is why Taylor is my best friend! She always know how to cheer me up, even if I was in the worst mood ever!

~Next day~

I waked up with snacks all over my bed. I sat up, and saw the TV still on. I looked next to me and saw that Taylor was still asleep, but then I looked at the clock, it was just 2AM. Usually I never wake up on this time.

I let myself softly fall back on my bed, so Taylor wouldn’t wake up. I tried to fall back asleep, but I just couldn’t, so I stood up and walked to the balcony on my room.

I sat down on the chair and looked at the stars and the moon, the last time I did this on this time, was with Justin, last year. We always met each other on 12AM in the park and of course I didn’t asked to my mom if I could go, because I knew that she would say no. Me and Justin stayed in the park for like 2 or 3 hours and watched together the stars. We did the same thing in Canada this summer, but then with Jazzy and we just stayed at the house and watched it from the porch. Talking about Canada, I miss it so much to be there with Justin and his friends and family, who were the sweetest people on this whole world.

Suddenly, I heard my phone rang. I ran back inside and took my phone with me back outside, and closed the door, so Taylor wouldn’t wake up.

‘Hello?’ I whispered through the phone. ‘Now who is this and why you calling me so late…or so early…?’

‘It’s Justin!’ I heard him chuckle. ‘I just wanted to ask you if I should pick you and Taylor up this morning to school?’

‘What?’ I laughed. ‘Ehh…yeah sure, if you want too. Are you calling me so early for only asking this?’

‘I couldn’t sleep, but why are you so up early. usually you wake up too late!’

‘I couldn’t sleep too!’ I chuckled.

‘I’m bored, everyone is sleeping!’ Justin sighed.

‘Wanna go to the park?’ I asked smiling.

‘What? Now? Are you serious?’

‘Yeah I mean, it’s just 2AM, so we can stay there for like 1 hour and then come back…?’

‘Ehh…If you want to, then okay!’ Justin laughed.

‘All right. Bye!’

‘Bye, see you over 5 minutes!’

I hang up the phone and walked back inside. I quickly changed in some sweatpants and a ‘I ♥ YOU’ hoodie.

Just when I wanted to leave my room, I decided to make a letter for Taylor so she wouldn’t panic and wake my parents up, if I wasn’t next to her.

I took a pen and paper from my desk and started to write:

Hi, Taylor. Good morning, if you just waked up. I just wanted to say that I’m in the park with Justin if I’m not next to you right now. Pleas don’t wake my parents up. I will be back at 3AM.

LOVE, SEL!

I took the letter and laid it down on my pillow.

I took my phone with me, for just in case if Taylor or someone else would call me.

I opened the door slowly and walked towards my mom and Brian’s room to know or they were still asleep. After that I walked down the stairs, did my sneakers on and went outside via de backdoor.

The way to the park wasn’t long, just like 3 or 4 minutes.

When I arrived at the park, Justin was nowhere, what was weird, because the park was closer to his house then mines.

Justin’s POV:

I laid my phone down on my desk. I just called Selena, because I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t know why I called her because usually she would wake up hours later but to my surprise, she was awake, because she also couldn’t sleep. She asked me if we could go the park, like what we always did when we first met, last year.

I quickly changed in a black hoodie. I didn’t changed my sweatpants because it wasn’t cold outside.

When I walked out my room I saw Jazzy standing there, looking at me like ‘Where you going?’

‘Gosh, Jaz. You scared me!’ I whispered so I wouldn’t wake up the rest in the house. ‘Why aren’t you sleeping right now in bed?’

‘Are you going to Selly?’ she asked, ignoring my question.

‘Yes,’ I said. ‘But promise that you go to bed right now and won’t tell anybody!’

‘I won’t tell daddy if I can go with you!’ Jazzy said crossing her arms.

‘What?!’ I laughed. ‘You can’t come, it’s too early for you and dad will be really mad at me!’

‘No, he won’t because I won’t tell him…if I can come!’ Jazzy said. ‘Pleas Justy? I wanna see Selly!’

‘Ugh…all right!’ I groaned and walked with Jazzy to her room, so she could change in some outside clothes.

After that, we walked down the stairs, and opened the frontdoor slowly, so nobody would hear.

Selena’s POV:

After 10 minutes I wanted to call Justin or everything was all right, but then I saw a guy walking towards me with a little girl in his arms, I couldn’t see who it was because it was still dark. Soon, when the little girl saw me, she run out of the guy’s arms, to me. When she came closer, I realized who it was…Jazzy!

‘OMG, Jazzy, what are you doing here?’ I laughed after she jumped in arms.

‘I’m going back to Canada this weeked and then I can play with you, so I wanna play with you now!’ she smiled.

‘But we can’t baby girl, it’s so late, your mommy and daddy gonna be really mad if they know that you’re here!’

‘But they won’t know, I won’t tell them!’

I looked up at the guy who came with Jazzy, Justin.

‘Sorry!’ Justin whispered. ‘When I wanted to leave, Jazzy stood there in front of me!’

‘It’s all right!’ I smiled.

In fact, I was really happy that Justin brought Jazzy with him, because I only saw her in the summer when she comes here or we go to Canada, so I was happy with the time that I could play with Jazzy.

‘Where is Jaxon?’ I asked to Jazzy.

‘He’s sleeping. I wanted to wake him up, but then he will cry and then mommy and daddy will wake up!’

It was quiet for a moment, but it wasn’t like awkwardly quiet, it was a comfortable silence.

Everytime when Jazzy saw a star, and she saw a lot, she would clap her hands and pointed at the star, it was just so cute!

The rest of the time we had till it was 3AM, we had so much fun. It was just me, Justin and Jazzy. We played everything Jazzy wanted and then we went back to our home.

Since this night or this morning we had together, I didn’t even care that Rose was starting to have feelings for Justin. I mean, even if they had feelings for each other, my friendship with Justin wouldn’t fall apart. We always will be friends even if my cousin Rose and Justin gonna start dating or something. And maybe…Justin didn’t belong with me, but with my cousin. Maybe me and Justin were better off to be just friends. Maybe I didn’t ruined my life after all…

OMG, I don’t know where this chapter come from, I wasn’t even expecting that my next chapter would be like this, but I didn’t knew how to continue my story so I just made this chapter. I personally think that this chapter sucks, but I hope that you guys liked it, because I worked hard on this chapter!
